Giving Back

Since the humble beginnings of our firm over 40 years ago, Southwest Florida has been our home. Now, decades later and with multiple offices spanning the tri-county area, it is where our associates and staff live and raise their families. We are therefore inextricably tied to this place and its people—it has become a part of us, and we a part of it.

Always mindful of how Southwest Florida supported the Firm’s development through nearly half a century, Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner tirelessly dedicates its resources to giving back. This is why the distinctive “BLS” logo is attached to so many community initiatives, events, and local organizations.

Today, we fight hard to foster growth, education, civic engagement, and public safety here in our own backyard, and the Firm is at the forefront in supporting numerous worthwhile causes. Whether it’s donating office space for the opening of MADD’s SWFL chapter, rewarding student volunteers with our annual Make a Difference Award, supplying food and supplies to local law enforcement at DUI checkpoints, staffing and supporting the Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition, or nearly drowning ourselves in gallons of ice water for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, we set a high bar for community involvement and strive to raise that bar every year.

Here are some of the community partners that Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner is proud to support:

Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) Mission

Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (B.A.C.A.) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. We do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that we are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, we stand ready to be that obstacle.
