"Mothers Against Drunk Drivers honors Mr. & Mrs. Scheiner with the Humanitarian of the Year Award"

Mr. Scheiner has always believed that our children are our future. As such, we support and/or sponsor numerous activities, organizations, and events which benefit children throughout Florida. One of the longstanding services of our firm is the promotion of bicycle safety among children.

From our participation in NBC-2's Kid's Fest, where the firm distributed bicycle helmets to children, to this year's program with the Lee County Sheriff's Dept. to encourage bicycle safety, our firm has made the safety of our children the highest priority. In addition to promoting the safety of our children, our firm also supports and sponsors groups for needy children. We are a major supporter and sponsor of the Naples Art Fair, a fundraiser for the Eden Foundation for Autistic Children. Our firm also founded the Student Enrichment Program of Naples to provide mature and responsible mentors for 4-6 year old children and their parents. Furthermore, we are proud to recognize and reward students who demonstrate their dedication to educational excellence and community service by sponsoring the Make a Difference Award. Over 30 deserving students throughout Southwest Florida who have made a difference in their schools and communities are presented the award each year. We also sponsor academic scholarships for deserving students of the Community School of Naples. All of us at Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Personal Injury Lawyers, P.A. believe fully in working as hard as possible to make the future of our children as bright as possible.

Our firm believes strongly in making our roads as safe as possible for everyone who uses them. To promote safety for motorcyclists, our firm coordinates a motorcycle safety program each year geared to bikers in our community. We have distributed thousands of safety packets and literature to motorcycle enthusiasts to reduce the incidence of motorcycle accidents and save lives. In addition to promoting awareness to and safe operation of motorcycles, our firm actively participates in the fight against drunk driving. We are affiliated with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Lee County Sheriff's Department, the Lee Country EMS, and NBC-2 in a coordinated effort to combat driving while under the influence of alcohol. Our firm and Mothers Against Drunk Driving sponsor a "don't drink and drive" program each holiday season to prevent alcohol-related fatalities on our community's roads and highways.

While our primary goal is to promote the safety and well-being of our community, we also sponsor visiting artists and speakers throughout Southwest Florida. We have organized and sponsored concerts for Russian Classical Pianist Yuri Rozum at local high schools and performance halls throughout Southwest Florida, we have planned performances for Russian Prima Ballerina Galina Mezentseva, and we have organized and sponsored public forums for Connecticut College's "Democracy Is A Discussion". In addition, we are a sponsor of the Naples/Fort Myers Town Hall Lecture Series, a speaking forum which brings notable speakers such as former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Perez, US Secretary of State Colin Powell, and astronaut James Lovell of Apollo 13.
